[ Heropa, Residence 008. About half an hour after the Orlando and Sofia attacks have begun being broadcast on the news. Karla's voice is smooth as usual, but there's a little urgency in her knock at the door to Wanda's room. ]
[Wanda's been at the museum all day and is in the midst of changing out of her clothes when she hears the knock on her door. Sensing some of the urgency she slips into a robe quickly and opens the door.]
[ She pulls up a news bulletin -- breaking news-type coverage on the attacks -- on her comms device, then hands it over for Wanda to read. For now without commentary. ]
[Wanda takes the comm and scans the report quickly. Attacks practically in their back yard, and across the ocean in Bulgaria. Expression turning grim she shoves the comm back at Karla and heads for her closet to grab her uniform.]
Cold war politics being what they were. Are. [ It's been long enough since she arrived that most of the time this place feels normal. Except when -- as now -- it really, really doesn't. ]
